   • Focus on practical implementation and knowledge sharing via events

This Week's Must-Attend:

• Future Frontiers: Navigating Enterprise Analytics in the AI Era; Fireside Chat with the former US Chief Data Scientist DJ Patil (Thu, Nov 14th) - DJ Patil has data science and security as well as venture capital experience at the United States, Linkedin and more. This fireside chat will give you more insights into how data shapes and enhances enterprises.

• From Biotech to Breakthrough AI: Startup Grind feat. Martin Bittner (Redouble AI) (Tue, Nov 19th) - Join this event if you want to learn more about Martin’s story from biotech to AI-driven solutions for regulated industries with his Y Combinator-backed human-in-the-loop product

• GenAI Collective NYC Demo Night (Wed, 13th Nov) - Experience 10 demos of cutting-edge AI products and vote for the best ones! You can also sign up with your own AI product idea.

• NYC AI Salon Meetup (Tue, Nov 12th) - Join an informal meetup to mix and mingle with AI-enthusiasts from all walks of life. And if you haven’t been to the Public hotel, it is well worth a visit for its impressive entrance and its golden elevators.

Practical AI Events (it gets technical) 💻:

• AI Venture Building Hackathon by Hatch Labs (Thu, Nov 14th for 48 hours) - Hackathons are always fun. You meet like-minded people, gain deep-dive new knowledge and build an MVP, that may turn into a fully-fledged product. This one is supported by Microsoft, Barclays and expert mentors.

• Compound Intelligence: The Frontier in AI - MLOps Community NYC (Thu, Nov 14th) - AI Agents are the hot topic wherever you go - how to use them, how to build them, how to improve them. Here is an event that dives deeper into that topic.

Tech Career & GTM Events 💡:

• Women of SaaS Hub Opening NYC (Thu, Nov 14th) - Two women-focused events in tech are already full this week. But this one - focused on SaaS - is not yet at capacity- If you are female, this is a great chance to mix and mingle and meet like-minded women. Women of SaaS has its origin in Germany and they are expanding.

• NYC B2B: Pre-Seed + Seed Founders & Investors Meetup (Thu, Nov 14th) - Manan Modi hosts regular events for the NYC B2B community in NYC to mix and mingle and this is one of them for specifically Pre-Seed and Seed stage companies.

Insights of the week: Claude.ai is powerful for precise images

Last week, we shared that we moved from ChatGPT to Claude.ai for logo and image creation. This week, we want to add some additional insights of why Claude is so powerful, how we use it for our own visual design and how you can easily do that too 😉 

An example of Image Creation with AI Tools: The Differences

• For any technical images with text included and clear-cut design, Claude is much better than ChatGPT

• For any creative designs ChatGPT and Adobe Firefly are much better

• Example 1: ChatGPT and Adobe Firefly are better

Use Cases in Image Creation with Claude

Here are several use cases of how we use Claude for Image Creation and how you can do that too:

• Logos: “Create a logo for me for {company name} with the {objective of} and following {description}”. → Copy-Paste the SVG Code into Figma → adapt

• Linkedin Cover Image: “Create a Linkedin cover image for me highlighting {design, company, shapes, colors, …}. → Copy-Paste to Figma/Canva → adapt

• Any other-shaped images: “Adapt this banner to {Youtube banner size, Watermark, …}”.

• Flyer: “Here is the following text: {Paste it in}. Create a flyer for me with this {design} and this {sizing}. → Copy-Paste into your design program → adapt

Industry Insight

AI in Science: Top Scientists Excel with AI, While Others Struggle

A study of 1,018 scientists at a major U.S. lab challenges assumptions about AI adoption. Research by MIT shows:

• Top scientists saw output nearly double with AI, while less experienced ones barely benefited

• Scientists with deep expertise were 3.4x better at evaluating AI suggestions

• Despite 44% productivity gains, job satisfaction declined due to reduced creativity

Key Takeaway: Success with AI depends heavily on human expertise - rather than democratizing discovery, AI amplifies the advantages of experienced scientists who can effectively evaluate its suggestions.
